Olympia Arts Walk

Join me upstairs at Browsers Books in Olympia—Friday 5- 8 p.m. and Saturday noon-3 p.m. We’ll be celebrating the magic of Science + Art in my new book, The Bird with the Flaming Red Feet, a natural history about a wildly charming seabird, the Pigeon Guillemot. On display in the upstairs Browsers gallery will be the original art featured in my book, including Pacific Northwest artists working in watercolor, scratchboard, pen & ink, linocut. photography, and lithography. Joining Maria will be two of the book’s artists who will demonstrate their techniques and creative processing bringing the guillemot’s unique calls and postures to life. Signed copies of my book will be available for purchase. Plus “Flaming Red” wine and cheese!
