South Prairie Lake in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest is just one of several thousand lakes in Washington State. In the 1973 edition of Lakes of Washington, the estimate for number of natural and man-made lakes and ponds and reservoirs is 7,864. In the next few years, I hope to explore, study, and swim in as many as I can. This “Lakes” page of my website will include information from my blog postings, but will feature them in alphabetical order. Plus a few stray non-lakes at the end.
