Join me for The Power of Connecting: How Shared Curiosity Leads to Scientific Discoveries. Through their serendipitous meeting through the local “birdy network,” Maria, and SSBA board members Rachel Holland and Melinda Wood followed their individual and shared curiosity about the Pigeon Guillemots and Vaux’s Swifts and made some surprising discoveries. Rather than keep these finds to themselves, they shared them online, in two newly published books, and in recent and upcoming scientific publications. Come be inspired on how your observations of the world right around you can bring joy, build community, support community science projects, and expand our knowledge of our birds.

The program will be a lively slide presentation with all three speakers sharing their stories. Social time (and refreshments) starts at 6:30, program at 7 p.m.
